The Los Angeles city council voted today on whether to install rent control during tough economic times

The city council voted today to and also Should the city place a moratorium on rent hikes for rent-controlled buildings? The City Council votes today on whether to stall for 4 months the hike on 630,000 rent-controlled units in Los Angeles. If the Council votes down the temporary freeze, landlords will be permitted to raise rents by 3% beginning in July. Are increases fair in this tough economic climate?
