Republican Candidate for U.S. Carly Fiorina and Democratic Candidate/Incumbent California Senator Barbara Boxer
It’s not hyperbolic to suggest that the fate of California, and the country as a whole, rests on the outcome of our state’s U.S. Senate race, and a number of other closely contested Congressional battles during this heated midterm election. California’s Senate campaign between incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer and Republican challenger Carly Fiorina is especially noteworthy: two powerful women, one a professional politician and the other a professional business leader, that have garnered equal parts dedicated supporters and ardent opponents; two women that are capable of being both galvanizing and polarizing; two women with distinctive policy positions that offer California voters a clear choice in both substance and style. The historic clash comes to KPCC with the second, and unless otherwise announced, final debate between Boxer and Fiorina where we’ll tackle subjects that range from the economy to job creation and immigration. Boxer vs. Fiorina—enjoy the debate and vote smartly!
