Edwidge Danticat reflects on what it means to be an immigrant artist from a country in turmoil.
Edwidge Danticat emigrated from the impoverished country of Haiti to the United States when she was twelve-years-old. In her latest book, Danticat tells her story as an immigrant artist from a troubled country and presents the stories of other artists whose homelands faced similar trials.
