A 13-inch canine cutie from the San Fernando Valley was named Best of Variety this week at the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in New York. Teddy, officially known as Grand Champion Del Rey Roosevelt’s Rough Rider, charmed the judges and was a favorite of the tough-to-convince audience. He turns four years old this month and his owner, Diana Lipari, says even though the dog loves competing, he’s “done everything we’ve asked him to do” and is ready to retire from competition. Teddy and Diana join Patt with a behind the scenes look at Westminster and what it’s like in that rarified doggy spotlight.
