Los Angeles has played host to many writers over the years, and the new “Literary Los Angeles: A Road Guide” celebrates this history in poster form.

The guide includes a map of literary hot spots around the city and showcases writing by local authors such as Wanda Coleman, Nina Revoyr, Luis Rodriguez, and David Ulin.

Former director of the National Reading Initiatives at the National Endowment for the Arts, current Boyle Heights bookstore owner, and KPCC book critic (phew!) David Kipen drops by to talk about the project.
