Fans are dismayed by the seemingly chummy encounter between Magic Johnson and former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, seen sitting together at the season opener.

Many Dodgers fans were glad to be rid of McCourt and what they view as his tarnished history as the Dodgers' owner. The elation over his eventual sale of the team was mirrored when Los Angeles sports icon Magic Johnson was revealed to be one of the new owners and essentially the new "face" of the team.

Given this history, Dodgers fans groaned at the sight of Magic's cordial treatment of McCourt at the Dodgers' season opener. When asked why he was sitting with the former owner, Magic shrugged it off saying, "I'm just here enjoying the game."
