Not everyone in the entertainment industry could boast about a sixty-plus year career in front of the camera, but Dick Clark could.
The former host of “American Bandstand” died of a heart attack today at the age of 82; his first television job was all the way back in 1951 on a show called “Cactus Dick and the Santa Fe Riders.” Nicknamed “America’s Oldest Teenager,” he changed the face of the entertainment industry and will be sorely missed. For now, Dick Clark…so long.
