Former National Football League player Junior Seau has died in a shooting at his home in Oceanside, California. Authorities have stated that his death is likely the result of suicide. During his 20 years playing in the NFL, Seau played for a number of teams including the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots. Police responded after a witness reported hearing a gunshot at Seau’s home at approximately 10:00 a.m. today. Seau previously played high school football in the Oceanside Unified School District and later played for the University of Southern California.
