Insurance coverage can expand for obese adults

A federal health advisory panel on Monday recommended for all obese adults to receive intensive counseling. Under the proposed healthcare law, insurance companies would be required to cover the panel’s recommendations on weight-loss treatments. This is a move that could significantly expand insurance coverage for adults with obesity, a growing health crisis in America. The Supreme Court will rule on the law this week.
