From his ‘Police Academy’ films to setting fire to the set on The Tonight Show, Bobcat Goldthwait was a comedy icon of the 1980’s.

He may have disappeared from the spotlight, but he didn’t go too far. Goldthwait spent a few years pursuing a career behind the camera and directing “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” He then transitioned to directing films, most notably 2011’s dark comedy “God Bless America.”

The comedian joins Patt to talk about his new Showtime stand up special on everything from politics to divorce.
