Election day is tomorrow...and pundits are popping-off all over the place. But what do the insiders think? We hear from strategists for gubernatorial candidates Phil Angelides and Arnold Schwarzenegger as they face down the last day of campaigning.

Prop. 83 Getting Eighty-Sixed? (Listen)
Seven out of ten California voters approved Proposition 83 on Tuesday. But the new restrictions on sex offenders within the measure may be too tough for the public to place on these criminals. A judge has now blocked enforcement of a controversial provision within the proposition. We'll hear about the objection and what the legal outlook may be.

Inside Afghanistan (Listen)
After completing an NPR tour in Afghanistan, correspondent Sarah Chayes remained in the country and accepted the job of running a non-profit organization founded by the brother of President Hamid Karzai. Her new book The Punishment of Virtue: Inside Afghanistan After the Taliban (Penguin Press), provides an inside look at the struggle to rebuild the country amidst the rise of violence, corruption, warlordism, and misguided U.S. Policy.

Also, Orange County Register Reporter Soraya Nelson is preparing to leave the paper to open and run an NPR bureau in Afghanistan. Before she departs for Kabul, she talks with Patt about the opportunity and gets some advice on living and working in Afghanistan from Sarah Chayes.

YouTube Outs the LAPD (Listen)
Video footage of a police officer repeatedly striking a suspect in the face during an arrest three months ago has triggered an FBI investigation after the video was posted on YouTube.com. Community members are calling for the suspension of the two officers involved. KPCC reporter Frank Stoltze has been covering the story. He joins guest host Luis Torres with the latest.

Trade Mission in Mexico (Listen)
Just days after being re-elected to a second term, Governor Schwarzenegger is in Mexico on a two-day trade mission. The Governor met with Mexican President-elect Felipe Calderon to discuss strengthening political and economic ties between California and Mexico. We hear from Carla Marinucci, who is with the Governor in Monterrey, Mexico.

A Legacy Greater Than Words (Listen)
The lives and experiences of American Latinos during and after the World War II are chronicled in the book, A Legacy Greater than Words: Stories of U.S. Latinos & Latinas of the World War II Generation (University of Texas Press). As part of an ongoing effort from the U.S. Latino & Latina WWII Oral History Project at the University of Texas at Austin, the volume was assembled from over 500 interviews throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Mexico, and includes wartime experiences as well as postwar efforts.

Los Lobos - The Town and the City (Listen)
