CA lawmakers running out of time to pass sanctuary state, housing bills

Friday is a big day for lawmakers in Sacramento – that's when the current session ends.

But they have a long list of bills to vote on this week and lots of pressure to get stuff done. Whatever doesn't get addressed will not be taken up again until lawmakers return to session in the new year.

That list includes a bill that would declare California a sanctuary state, as well as a package of bills designed to address the state's housing crisis.

Marisa Lagos, political reporter for KQED in the Bay Area, joins Take Two to look at whether those issues have the momentum to get passed this year.
