Kitty speaks with author and expert on terrorism and security issues, Jeffrey Simon, about his
newly updated edition of The Terrorist Trap (Indiana University Press). Simon takes a look at
the history of terrorism from all points of view, including interviews with terrorists, their victims,
government officials and others. The book includes an analysis of the most recent terrorism, 9/11.
Valley Secession Update
Host Kitty Felde takes a look at the latest news about the Valleys bid for secession from
the city of Los Angeles with Rick Orlov of The Daily News.

Child Support Update
Two years ago, Californias system of child support services was at an all-time low, with paltry reimbursement, fragmented
tracking of payment, and a severe lack of unified leadership. In response, a statewide agency was created to reform child support services.
Last Friday, the department received its first report card with surprisingly high marks. Kitty Felde speaks with the Director of Californias Support Services,
Curtis Child, about what contributed to the turnaround, future rollout plans, and more.
Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees
Kitty speaks with Jaime Jarrin, the Spanish voice of the LA Dodgers and hall of famer himself,
about yesterdays inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Stephen Ambrose, Plagiarist?
Historian Stephen Ambrose recently acknowledged that parts of his new book, The Wild Blue, were copied from work by another historian.
Kitty speaks with Jonathan Kirsch, author and partner at Kirsh and Mitchell who specializes in publishing and intellectual property law, about what
exactly is considered plagiarism.
Science and Music
Next Saturday evening, the Pasadena Symphony will reach for the stars by performing
Debussys Nocturnes and Holsts The Planets. In addition to the concert, telescopes will be outside
the concert hall for concertgoers to observe the celestial majesty that inspired the symphonies. Host Kitty

Kitchen Confidential author and Food Network star Anthony Bourdain is back from a global tour in
search of the perfect meal. He joins Kitty to reminisce about braised bat, live cobra hearts and other
