Michigan Continues to Lure Film Production Away from Hollywood

Michigan seems to be drawing moviemakers to the state thanks to generous tax incentives. And now Global Renaissance Entertainment has submitted a proposal to buy a 105-acre studio complex in suburban Detroit. It would become the permanent headquarters for the entertainment firm, which also has offices in Los Angeles.

The property in Allen Park was originally home to an automotive facility and was bought for $25 million and retooled for film production.
