Former eBay employees say Meg Whitman shoved an employee while she was chief there. The sources told the New York Times that the company paid Young Mi Kim a confidential six-figure financial settlement.
Details are vague about the alleged June 2007 incident, since no one else appears to have witnessed it. But employees familiar with it say Whitman got mad at Kim while getting ready for a news interview. Whitman supposedly used an expletive and shoved her. But Whitman said she just physically guided Ms. Kim out of the conference room.
Whitman and Kim haven’t commented on the incident. But they both sent out statements acknowledging a disagreement occurred, and that they've put their differences behind them.
