Last Thursday, KPCC presented The Dinner Party Download’s live show to a sold-out audience at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The show featured hosts Brendan Francis Newnam and Rico Gagliano, along with guests Jason Schwartzman, Father John Misty, Jenny Slate, Lena Waithe, and of course, lots of cocktails!

The night before the show, KPCC hosted a small group of members at the Crawford Family Forum, who attended the show’s rehearsal and an intimate reception with Brendan and Rico. It was a fun and unique experience – members got an insider’s glimpse at the production process and an exciting preview of the performance to come. Some even acted as stand-ins for the show’s guests! The hosted bar also included the show’s signature cocktail for the night of the performance. The cocktail, C’est Chic, was inspired by a piece of history from Chic’s Nile Rodgers.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time with a few members of the KPCC community who supported the station during our December Membership Drive. Member support is the largest source of KPCC’s funding and we are so happy to provide these kinds of special events to connect members to their favorite programs.  Stay tuned for more fun events in the future and enjoy the slideshow!
