It's not exactly earthquake country. But the largest quake since 1974 shook the DC area early this morning. It was a mere 3.6 magnitude area. No damage, of course. A few car alarms went off. And if it happened in LA, it would hardly be news. Native Californian that I am, I slept through it.

By the way, the USGS only started cataloguing quakes in 1974.

If only that shaking would shake up the weather: 97 today, but the high humidity makes it feel like 103!
