That was our topic Tuesday evening, as "AirTalk" was On the Road at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa. We had two former leaders of UC Irvine's Muslim Student Union and Anteaters for Israel. Both were very bright and passionate about their feelings on how the two groups are at odds. However, I'm not real optimistic about how these student activists are going to get past their grievances to find any commonality.
Regardless, I'm very happy that we brought the students together, along with Community Advocates' David Lehrer and the Muslim Public Affairs Council's Salam Al-Marayati. I felt like all four were very candid and highly articulate in laying out their positions.
Wednesday on "AirTalk," we'll debate LAUSD's ballot measure that would establish a $100 parcel tax to help fund the district.
