Accused! LAPD is investigating the case of 36-year-old man suspected of stealing 3,000 movie posters from CBS worth nearly half a million dollars, and then selling them at auction online, say officials.

Christian Eric Steven of Reseda pleaded not guilty to charges of grand theft and receiving stolen property at an arraignment on Thursday, the District Attorney’s Office announced.

The defendant’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 9 at Van Nuys Superior Court.

The thefts occurred between June 3, 2011 and March 27, 2012, the complaint alleges. Stevens could face a maximum term of five years in custody if convicted.

In unrelated movie poster news, a collection of 33 rare Hollywood "golden era" posters were recently discovered in a Philadelphia attic. A 1931 poster for "Dracula" sucked the most cash at auction with a selling price of $143,400, says CBS.
