LAPD issued an alert Thursday regarding two robberies since April 28 on the popular Silver Lake Reservoir jogging path. One of the robberies involved bodily force and a weapon.

The Los Angeles Police Department issued the community alert via Facebook, saying robbers had recently stolen electronics from at least two joggers, taking their iPhone, iPods, headphones or mp3 players, reports NBC LA.

The four robbers are considered armed and dangerous, and police urged the public to leave any electronics at home and jog during daylight hours with a partner.

The LAPD described the suspected robbers as Hispanic males, 16 to 20 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall to 6 feet tall, and 160 to 200 pounds. All four men are described as having black hair and brown eyes.

The robbers have been spotted fleeing in a possible 1998 to 2000 four-door silver or tan Toyota, and/or a 1999 to 2002 four-door silver Honda Accord, police said.

If you see someone or a vehicle matching the description, "DO NOT APPROACH," LAPD emphasizes (in caps and bold and red). Please call 911 and leave the area, they said. The suspects are considered "armed and dangerous."
