Autumn is here, so why does it feel like it's 150 degrees?!

Summer has come and gone, but Mother Nature is just bringing the heat. Just when some were getting ready to pull out argyle sweaters, scarves, and hot chocolate, temperatures skyrocketed. The National Weather Service has issued red flag alerts in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties for today and Tuesday, and residents are encouraged to avoid using high energy appliances between the peak hours of 3 and 5 p.m. Power grid managers don't expect any blackouts or overexertion of the system, but they're still asking people to be conservative with their energy usage. You might want to keep those popsicles handy a bit longer.
