Garrison Keillor will be uprooting his Minnesota-based radio program and headed to Los Angeles with A Prairie Home Companion on Friday, June 7th at The Greek Theatre

Special guests include actor Martin Sheen, the singing sisters of soul, Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele, comedian Paula Poundstone, the voice from Down Under, Mr. Colin Hay and co-star from the 2006 Robert Altman movie adaptation of the APHC radio show, Ms. Lily Tomlin, (who played Rhonda Johnson).

The special Friday evening concert will be recorded live and then broadcast the following day, Saturday June 8th.

Currently in its 39th season, A Prairie Home Companion has made the fictional small town of Lake Wobegon part of American popular culture. The show is broadcast on more than 600 public radio stations nationwide, with a weekly audience of nearly 4 million listeners. 

Garrison Keillor has been the host and writer of A Prairie Home Companion since the program started production in 1974.  He has been honored with Grammy, ACE, and George Foster Peabody awards, the National Humanities Medal, and election to the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
