Unheard LA Salon: Torrance Cultural Arts Center
Unheard LA is a celebration of storytelling, community, and connection in this complicated and nuanced place we call home. As the KPCC In Person team prepares for our next set of live storytelling shows, we’re inviting you to share your story.
Of course, we know that for many folks stepping onstage and into the spotlight can feel pretty intimidating. That’s why we’re spending the summer coming to neighborhoods around the region for a set of story salons: Past Unheard LA storytellers join KPCC In Person producers – and you – to share the stories they read (or sang or performed) as part of the show and to answer your questions.
Next up: The Torrance Cultural Arts Center on July 18.
We’ll have snacks, conversation, and a short set of readings. Have ideas you want to run by producers or questions about the process? These salons are a great opportunity to do just that. (You can also check out our step-by-step guide here.)
This salon is being offered in partnership with TOCA, the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation.
