‘Letters To Our City’ – Presented By Unheard LA

We invited some of our past Unheard LA storytellers to bring their own shows to our home base in Pasadena: the Crawford Family Forum. First up was educator, historian, and LA tour guide Mike “the PoeT” Sonksen and his brand-new show “Letters To Our City.”
Los Angeles is a massive city with as many sides as there are people. We all belong to the city. The dialogue is a never-ending story:
Build the Bridge
lay down the bricks
fill in the ridges
stack the sticks
feed the fire
consider the cost
take it up higher
the city is ours!
"Letters To Our City" featured Angeleno wordsmiths from a variety of creative fields sharing their perspective on their corner of the city. Sonksen, a third-generation LA native, served as host and invited audiences to take a look at our city with a wider lens.
