KPCC In Person’s community-centered storytelling series Unheard LA is an exploration of our region – one story at a time. That means we’re interested in hearing from everybody in Southern California, from the coast to desert, the valleys or the mountains.

Some of our past storytellers had previous stage experience, but many didn’t. And we know the idea of sending a story idea can be intimidating.

That’s why, on July 29, members of the KPCC In Person team and past Unheard LA storytellers headed to the Los Angeles Public Library’s Northridge Branch to meet up with you. We shared some favorite stories, answered your questions, and gave feedback on your story ideas. (By the way, when we say “story,” we really mean whatever medium feels right to you. Spoken word? Poetry? Music? Dance? Magic? Let’s talk.)
