As 2020 winds down, your friends at KPCC/LAist are thinking about the things we're grateful for, the things that could have gone better, and the things we'd like to forget entirely.
Wouldn’t it feel amazing to end the year by setting some of those last things on fire?
Let us do it for you.
People shared photos of something they’d like to metaphorically torch and we burned them. It’s melodramatic, overly theatrical, and unnecessary — in a good way.
Watch the above video of the ritual burning along with some of the other ways we’ve exorcised 2020.
And yes, we did consider smashing up a fax machine as a spectacular send-off gesture to the year, but we couldn’t be sure it wasn’t cake.
