FilmWeek & Chill: 'The Incredibles'
We know what you’re thinking, and no, that’s not what we mean. We want to invited you to (virtually) chill with Larry Mantle and talk about a movie – hence, FilmWeek & Chill!
While the pandemic forced us to press pause on our LA-centric FilmWeek Screening Series at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, we refused to be denied the opportunity to convene and have some fun during an otherwise challenging time. To that end, we kicked off a new virtual event series, FilmWeek & Chill.
For our first event, Larry chose one of his all-time favorite films: Disney/Pixar’s 2004 Oscar-winning animated superhero adventure The Incredibles. Written and directed by Brad Bird and featuring a memorable score composed by Michael Giacchino, The Incredibles is beloved by many for a script that effortlessly transitions from heartfelt to serious to witty, an all-star voice cast that includes Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson and Jason Lee and for its broad appeal to kids and adults alike, taking on themes like the importance of family and being proud of who you are, even if others can’t or won’t understand you.
