Twenty years ago, rioters destroyed parts of Los Angeles and dozens of people were killed in the violence after a jury acquitted police officers charged with beating Rodney King. Whether you call it a riot, civil unrest, or uprising, the events of April 29, 1992 left a lasting mark on the people of Southern California.

KPCC journalists want to know how the turmoil touched you that week and how it changed your life, family, career and image of our community.

What are your memories? And what's changed in the way Southern Californians "get along" since then, for better or worse?
