We’d like you to share your experiences in uniform with the KPCC audience on Veterans Day. Our veterans and military issues reporter, John Ismay — himself a Navy vet — would like to record some brief interviews with Southern California vets for us to broadcast this Nov. 11.
Your stories will help the KPCC audience understand what Veterans Day means to you, and what you’re thinking about every Nov. 11. We’d like to have several 1-minute-long pieces to broadcast throughout the day, and we respectfully ask that you consider sharing your stories with us.
Your story — no matter how big or small you might think it is — matters to us. You can tell us about the leader who meant the most to you … or about the funniest thing that happened to you … or what you were thinking when you were deployed during the holidays … you can even tell us something you think others simply wouldn’t understand. It doesn’t matter what rank you held, where you served, or when you served.
Whatever your story is, we just want it to come from your heart.
Everything you share will be read by journalists only, and your responses are confidential unless you tell us we may publish them.
