Officials in Inglewood are investigating another questionable shooting by police there. KPCC’s Shirley Jahad reports.

Two separate stories are emerging after Inglewood police shot and killed a man following a weekend birthday party. Officers say they got a call about a fight. They say they arrived and saw a man with a gun. They say there was a shoot out. Police killed the man. And one officer was shot in the leg. Police say they recovered a hand gun at the scene.

Witnesses though say that the man was unarmed. They say four officers opened fire and shot the man several times at close range in the back. They say the injured officer was shot by fellow police because no one else had a gun.

Now the LA County DA is conducting both criminal and administrative investigations into the shooting.
