The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center is putting up $2,500 for the grand prize in its video contest to promote same-sex marriage. Today the center posted nearly 70 entries online.

One spoofs the Blair Witch Project. In the black-and-white video, terrified-looking actors gaze into the camera.

The Guy: Just admit it, Geneva, we’re lost!

Geneva: Where’s the stupid map? Wait, look. What is that?

“That” turns out to be two women getting married, a wedding that looks like anything but the scares in the original Blair Witch movie. Viewers may vote on their favorite video – the contest is part of a bi-coastal effort to win hearts and minds on the issue of same-sex marriage. Last week, California’s Supreme Court upheld a voter-approved ban on the practice in this state.

L.A.’s Gay and Lesbian Center partnered with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual. and Transgender Community Center of New York City.
