Members of the U.S. Men’s soccer team are watching out for symptoms of swine flu. One of their teammates from Southern California tested positive for the virus. More from KPCC’s Alex Cohen.

L.A. Galaxy star forward Landon Donovan has tested positive for the H1N1 virus. He likely contracted it from a team administrator and chiropractor who came down with the flu during last weekend’s game against the New England Revolution in Massachusetts.

Donovan said he was feeling slightly ill when the U.S. National team visited Mexico City for a game earlier this week – a game they lost 2-1 to the home team.

The U.S. Soccer Federation is recommending that other players or coaches who might have been in contact with Donovan take a course of Tamiflu as a precaution.
