Orange County DA seeks additional victims of alleged rapist

The Orange County District Attorney's Office is seeking the public's help identifying potential additional victims of a Yorba Linda man charged with raping three women. The defendant is scheduled for pre-trial Friday.

Jason Ara Erpinar, 20, faces multiple felony charges. If convicted, Erpinar faces a maximum sentence of 45 years to life in state prison. Erpinar also faces burglary charges in an unrelated case.

According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Erpinar allegedly met an 18-year-old on MySpace and invited her to a party in La Habra. On March 7, at the party, Erpinar allegedly took the victim to a bathroom and raped her, authorities said.

Erpinar met another woman on MySpace on March 26, 2008. He allegedly raped her in a Newport Beach hotel room. The woman woke up the next day with a cracked tooth and scrapes on her face. Authorities said the suspect allegedly drugged both women.

During an investigation by the La Habra Police Department, the defendant's ex-girlfriend, 17, was contacted. Between August 2006 and October 2007, Erpinar allegedly raped her on several occasions while being physically abusive in their relationship.

Erpinar is being held on $1 million bail.

The Orange County District Attorney's Office has asked anyone with additional information or who believes they have been a victim to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Tim Craig at (714) 347-8558.
