Wounded shooting victim found outside Universal Studios

One person was wounded today in a shooting in Hollywood, according to police.

The shooting was reported about 2 a.m. on Cahuenga Boulevard, and the victim turned up later outside Universal Studios in a car with a bullet hole and a flat tire, said officers as the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood and North Hollywood stations.

No victim was located during an initial investigation of the reported shooting, said Sgt. James Alvarez of the Hollywood Station.

The victim was located later near Lankershim Boulevard and Universal Plaza, said a North Hollywood station watch commander.

The victim, who was hospitalized, was a passenger in a dark-colored BMW sedan with a bullet hole in a passenger door and a flat rear tire on the passenger side, a camera crew reported from outside Universal Studios.
