Kaiser to give $500,000 to expand Pasadena Community Care Clinic

Kaiser Permanente will give $500,000 the Community Health Alliance of Pasadena today to help fund the expansion of the Pasadena Community Care Clinic.

``Kaiser Permanente is deeply involved and committed to improving the health of communities throughout California by investing in community-based organizations like CHAP who are striving to expand access for preventative and primary care services to our vulnerable and uninsured populations,'' Kaiser spokeswoman Diana Bont said.

Huntington Memorial Hospital, Huntington Medical Foundation, LA Care Health Plan and the city of Pasadena are also contributing to the expansion.

The clinic, including 11 primary care and 11 urgent care rooms in more than 10,000 square feet, is expected to open late this summer.
