Riverside County wildfire burns 60 acres

PEDLEY — Southern California firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a fire that burned about 60 acres of hilly brushland in the Glen Avon area of western Riverside County.

The Wednesday afternoon fire forced evacuation of 32 residences in a mobile home park, but fire Capt. Fernando Herrera says it has been called off and efforts will be made to allow residents to return.

Herrera says no one has been injured and there are no reports of damage.

Southern California has had blustery and dry weather this week.
