Help sought to ID gunmen in Venice Blvd. shooting

Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the gunman or gunmen responsible for a shooting early Sunday that left two men injured.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Louella Street, just south of Venice Boulevard.

Two men were shot. One was listed in critical condition. The other is in stable condition.

Police said someone or some people in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle drove by the two men and shot at them as the were walking on the sidewalk.

Police had no description of the gunmen. It it is unknown if the shooting was gang related.
