North Hollywood man accused of taking 'upskirt' photos awaits arraignment

A North Hollywood man accused of taking photos under the skirts of girls and women is set to be arraigned July 22 on a 17-count criminal complaint, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office announced
today.

Michael Elliot Hogan, 64, was charged late last week with possession and duplication of child pornography, child annoyance and using concealed cameras to take "upskirt'' photos of women.

Hogan was arrested May 11 by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Transit Services Bureau after he allegedly used concealed cameras to take photos up the skirts of girls or women at numerous locales, including Chinatown and a Farmers Market, according to the City Attorney's Office.

Sheriff's detectives seized additional evidence after getting a search warrant for Hogan's home, officials said.

Hogan, who is free on $350,000 bond, is facing up to 11 years and six months in jail, a $30,000 fine and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration if convicted, according to the City Attorney's Office.
