Bel Air man rescued from pool

An elderly man has been reported to be in critical condition after a firefighter pulled him from a pool at a Bel Air Estates home at the 800 block of N. Linda Flora Drive, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed Monday afternoon.

LAFD spokesman Erik Scott said the man was not breathing when he was first rescued from the pool after 4:00 p.m.

“He didn’t have a pulse when we first drew him out,” Scott said. However rescuers initiated CPR and did get a pulse before he was transported to the UCLA Medical Center.

The victim has been described as a man approximately 65 years old. His current condition in the hospital is unknown.
