2 Southern Calif. women claim $64M lottery jackpot

Two Southern California women have claimed the $64 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot from Friday's drawing.

Zahra Vasseghi of Agoura Hills and Thu Thao Truong of El Monte came forward Tuesday with the winning ticket. Lottery officials say the two women opted for the cash payout and collected $41.7 million.

They say they plan to keep their jobs with a telecommunications company and use their wealth to help their families. First, they're planning a trip to Las Vegas where they'll splurge on a suite at the Bellagio.

The women bought the ticket at a downtown Los Angeles shop called Smoke N' Stuff, which will get a $320,000 payout from the state.

The Mega Millions Web site says the odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in more than 175 million.
