Pacific Palisades grass fire burns 2 acres

PACIFIC PALISADES - A grass fire in Palisades Park scorched about 2 acres today, but no homes were damaged.

The fire was reported about 1 p.m. near the 15200 block of West De Pauw Street, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Nearly 100 firefighters on the ground and in the air were assigned to the blaze and had it under control in about an hour, he said.

Firefighters at the scene reported multiple fire fronts. How the fire started was not immediately known.
