Brush fire burns in San Bernardino National Forest

Fire crews are battling a brush fire that has scorched 100 acres in the San Bernardino National Forest.

No structures are threatened.

The U.S. Forest Service says the blaze broke out about 5 p.m. Tuesday on the northern edge of Silverwood Lake. The area is south of Hesperia and north of Crestline, about 80 miles northeast of Los Angeles.

Authorities say nearly 300 firefighters are battling the Miller fire, which is five percent contained.
