Disney has come up with an alternative for a Muslim worker who filed a complaint against the Anaheim resort because she says it wouldn’t let her wear her hijab to work. But the worker says Disney's alternative isn’t good enough.

Disney Resort restaurant hostess Imane Boudlal last week filed a discrimination complaint against Disney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

She says she’s been sent home from work seven times without pay because she refused to take off her hijab.

Disney has now come up with a potential solution: a hat and bonnet to cover her head.

A Disney spokeswoman says it’s a good compromise that keeps in line with the resort’s costume guidelines. But Boudlal says it’s embarrassing and makes a joke of her religion.

Last week, a Disney spokeswoman suggested that the union representing resort workers is distorting the facts in this case. UNITE HERE Local 11 denies that.

For the last couple of years, the union and Disney have been locked in a heated battle over benefits.
