A woman whose body was found on the sand in Newport Beach has been identified as a 20-year-old Bellflower resident, and police are calling her death suspicious.
Police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe tells City News Service two people strolling on the beach found Tina Hoang face down near a lifeguard tower around 6 a.m. Monday.
The Orange County coroner's office and police are still investigating how she died, awaiting autopsy and toxicology results.
Anyone with more information is asked to call Newport Beach detectives.
