A doctor in Los Angeles has been arrested and charged with committing sexual battery on a patient during a medical exam for federal immigration authorities.

The Medical Board of California said an investigation into Dr. Pez Abrahams led to Friday's arrest. Two felony sex charges were also filed against him.

Other details of his alleged offenses were not released.

It's unclear whether Friday's arrest stems from a similar incident in 2007. The board accused Abrahams then of sexually assaulting a woman who was seeking vaccinations and to have her blood drawn as part of her U.S. citizenship exam.

Following that case, Abrahams' license was revoked in 2011, but the revocation was stayed and he was placed on probation for seven years.

Abrahams practiced in Winnetka in the San Fernando Valley.
