Police say one woman was struck and another was grazed by a bullet when someone fired at a couple in a parked car in Pasadena Saturday evening.

At about 9:20 p.m., police say someone opened fire on a couple that had parked their car near the area of Marengo Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard. A 29 year-old woman from Phillips Ranch suffered a gunshot wound to her right arm. The male driver, who is from Pasadena, was uninjured.

A passerby at the park was also grazed by one of the bullets. She sustained a minor injury to her arm, but wasn't taken to the hospital.

Lt. Jason Clawson of the Pasadena police department said officers are looking for who might have been behind the attack.

"We don't know if the victim himself, or the female [was] targeted, or the vehicle was targeted," he said.

Clawson said they recovered ballistic evidence from the scene and from the car, but have no description of the suspects involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasadena police detective bureau at 626-744-4522.
