SUV careens into Los Angeles restaurant, hurting 10

A 5-year-old is in critical condition after a car crashed into a Los Angeles pizza shop Monday.

A total of 10 people were injured, ranging in age from one month to 59-years-old. All were patrons inside the Little Caesars. The 5-year-old is in critical condition with head trauma while the others suffer minor to moderate injuries, most of which were caused by flying glass.

Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department says a compact SUV drove into the fast-food restaurant.

Television news footage showed a white SUV inside a Little Caesars restaurant near the intersections of Glenoaks and Van Nuys boulevards.

Humphrey says the damage to the restaurant structure is minimal.
