Assistant Los Angeles city attorney Christopher Garcia has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Garcia, 57, was arrested Thursday at his San Pedro home, L.A. Police Department Officer Liliana Preciado said, according to the Times. He'd been under investigation since at least November, Preciado said. At the time, authorities had seized his computers and other "electronic evidence," according to Preciado, finding some "questionable images."
Garcia has posted $40,000 bail since his arrest, the Times reports, citing jail records. He's been on administrative leave since the allegations first surfaced, city attorney spokesman Rob Wilcox said in a statement.
