The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre on Franklin is hosting Soundtrack, an improvised show to the music on your iPhone. Have guests in town for the holidays? Take them here. It's funny, it's cheap and it's centrally located in Hollywood. Don't forget to load your phone with some funny or just plain fun songs before you go.

Where: UCB Franklin | MAP

Price: $10

5. Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo" at LACMA

Watch the 'Vertigo' trailer

LACMA is hosting special screenings this weekend, including Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 classic mystery "Vertigo." James Stewart plays a San Francisco cop who quits the force after a paralyzing attack of acrophobia — fear of heights — costs another cop’s life. Other nostalgic gems include "The Shop around the Corner," "The Doll" and "Notorious." More info and full schedule here.

When: 8 p.m. Saturday

Where: LACMA | MAP

Price: $5

6. Bootie LA Anti-Holiday Party

OK, now this one is for those of you who want to forget that holiday cheer. Bootie L.A. is making you a promise: No Christmas music at its dance party Saturday. Rage your way through the night bah-humbugging with the best of them. Pro tip: Don't forget to grab a midnight snack at Two Boots next door. Or Taco Zone down the street.

7. Holiday Bazaar with Kombucha Dog

I know what you're thinking and no, this is not kombucha for dogs. It's a kombucha brand that raises awareness through its adorable packaging featuring L.A. shelter dogs. Kombucha Dog even has a tap room and gallery space (featuring photos of the pups, of course). This weekend, stop by the Lincoln Heights spot for a holiday bazaar. It'll kick off with yoga at 10 a.m. Then, eat vegan food from Greenbelt and drink organic kombucha on tap for $5 a glass. You may even walk away with a new pet.

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday

Where: Kombucha Dog | MAP

Price: Free entry
