A fire forced the evacuation of patients at a Los Angeles-areahospital, but it was out before anyone was injured or any serious damage was done.

Culver City fire officials say the blaze broke out at about 1:15 p.m. at Southern California Hospital.

Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells told City News Service at about 2:30 p.m. that the firewas out and no one was injured.

The blaze appeared to be on the roof, and patients in gowns and on gurneys filled the sidewalks and part of the parking lot of the hospital before they were taken back in.
